Rejections and returns
Summary
A rejected or returned pack indicates the submitted information was not accepted at that point in the workflow and requires clarification or correction before it can progress.
Common reasons
- Missing or incomplete information
- Supporting evidence not attached or unclear
- Clarification needed on submitted details
What happens next
Typically, the pack is returned to the originator with comments. The originator updates the pack and re-submits it through DocuRail, keeping the submission history linked.
Common misunderstanding
Rejection does not necessarily imply fault or non-compliance by default. It indicates the pack cannot progress until the reviewer’s points are addressed.
